Hello Reader, I hope all is well with you. I'm back in your inbox — and before you roll your eyes, I promise this isn't another "sorry I disappeared" email. Because honestly? I needed to disappear for a minute. I've been carrying this heavy, unnamed feeling for months. You know the one — where you're doing ALL the things, checking ALL the boxes, but somehow still feeling like you're falling short? Then I stumbled across a term that made everything click: Eldest Daughter Syndrome. Even if you're not the oldest (or even a daughter), you might recognize this: You're the one everyone calls when things fall apart. The planner. The problem-solver. The one who remembers everyone's birthdays while forgetting your own needs. Sound familiar? Here's what I realized: We've been so busy being everyone else's safety net that we forgot we need one too. And that exhaustion you feel? It's not laziness. It's not failure. It's the natural result of living by everyone else's rulebook instead of your own. So here's what I'm doing differently (and what's changed everything for me): I'm getting crystal clear on my core values — not the ones I should have, but the ones that actually light me up. Because when you know what matters most to YOU, saying no to everything else becomes a lot easier. Your turn: Grab a coffee or a glass of wine or whatever your beverage of choice is and spend 10 minutes on this. Write down your top three core values. Then get brutally honest: Are your daily choices reflecting these values, or are you living to meet everyone else's expectations? I'd love to know what you discover — seriously, hit reply. I read every single one. Here's to choosing ourselves P.S. If this email hits home, you're not alone. And you're definitely not selfish for wanting more for yourself. I promise. |

Hello Reader, Hi [First Name], Have you ever had someone tell you to “just relax” — and instead of relaxing, you started making a mental list of everything that wouldn’t get done if you actually did? Yeah… me too. Here’s the thing: for women like us, rest doesn’t feel restful when there’s an endless list of people, projects, and responsibilities depending on us. It feels risky. We’ve been taught (directly or indirectly) that: Downtime is wasted time Our worth is tied to our productivity If...
